Synopsis of Broadway Sandwich: “Kinky Boots” and “Hamilton”:

Follow Broadway’s biggest stars during their break between matinee and evening performances. In the premiere episode, join Kyle Post of “Kinky Boots” and host Garen Scribner on a bike ride and listen in on a singing lesson with “Hamilton’s” Tanairi Sade Vazquez. Go behind the scenes of Broadway’s biggest theatres as actors get ready for the curtain to rise.

  • “Hamilton” ensemble member Tanairi Sade Vazquez opens up about the sacrifices her parents made so she could follow her dreams and land on one of the world’s most prestigious stages.
  • “Once On This Island” star Isaac Cole Powell spills behind the scenes secrets and gives an exclusive tour of the sandy set.
  • For “Aladdin” star Arielle Jacobs being a part of the musical is a family affair. Not only is she playing Princess Jasmine her brother originated the role of Aladdin on Broadway.
  • “Come From Away” star Caesar Samayoa shares some of the heartfelt gifts 9/11 survivors have given him after seeing the show.
  • “Mean Girls” star Kate Rockwell shares an exclusive look at the infamous Burn Book, which is filled with notes about cast and crew.
  • “The Band’s Visit” star Etai Benson discusses the importance of Middle Eastern representation onstage, and how playing “Papi” connects to his own cultural heritage.
  • “Wicked” star Jessica Vosk opens up about leaving her high-powered job on Wall Street to pursue her Broadway ambitions and ultimately landing her dream role as Elphaba.

  • Broadway Sandwich: “Come From Away” and “Mean Girls” premieres Wednesday, February 13 at 9 p.m.
  • Broadway Sandwich: “The Band’s Visit” and “Wicked” premieres Wednesday, February 20 at 9 p.m.

Series Overview:

Hang out with Broadway stars in between shows. When the matinee ends, stars only have a few hours before their evening performance. Hosted by Garen Scribner (“An American in Paris” on Broadway, San Francisco Ballet), Broadway Sandwich is a new series in which Scribner follows Broadway stars on their breaks to see what makes up the meat in their “Broadway Sandwich.”
