Continuing the momentum created by the search for “The Great American Read,” PBS is heading to the Miami Book Fair this weekend with a focused goal: “Keep the nation reading.”

Not in Florida, you say? Those with no plans to head down to the Sunshine State within the next 48 hours can still take part online. PBS Books is set to stream live coverage of the fair, which will include interviews with authors, such as John Grisham, Rebecca Traister and R.O. Kwon, as well as winners, finalists and nominees of the 2018 National Book Awards.

“We’re thrilled with the massive digital and community engagement with readers that ‘The Great American Read’ has inspired,” said Jim Dunford, PBS Vice President of Programming and Operations, in a statement.  “PBS Books is perfectly positioned to carry on this effort, beginning with the Miami Book Fair and continuing on with exciting opportunities for PBS stations and libraries to connect with readers throughout the year.”

The live-stream, hosted by PBS NewsHour’s Jeffrey Brown, writer Ashley C. Ford and PBS Books executive producer Rich Fahle, will take place Saturday, Nov. 17 and Sunday, Nov. 18 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and can be viewed below.
