5 Powerful Moments From Hillary Clinton’s Lecture at PEN America World Voices Festival

Capping off a week of PEN World Voices Festival events dedicated to the theme “Resist and Reimagine,” Hillary Clinton delivered the Arthur Miller Freedom to Write Lecture in the Great Hall at the Cooper Union in New York. A key component to each year’s festival, the Arthur Miller Freedom to Write Lecture is named for playwright Arthur Miller, a fierce advocate for free expression and longtime leader of PEN. Following the lecture, author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (“Purple Hibiscus,” “Half of a Yellow Sun,” “Americanah”) joined Clinton for a conversation about how we can imagine a better future for our society.
